Elephants · Baobabs · Tarangire River · Birdlife
Follow the Tarangire River through a landscape of ancient baobabs, open savanna and seasonal wetlands—where patient wildlife viewing reveals one of northern Tanzania's most distinctive safari worlds.
Tarangire National Park has a character all its own. Baobabs rise above acacia woodland and open grassland, while the Tarangire River and permanent swamps become especially important to wildlife during the drier months. Elephants are a defining presence, but the pleasure of Tarangire lies equally in its changing habitats, birdlife, light and quiet moments of observation.
The park's road connection from Arusha makes it one of Tanzania's strongest entry points to safari. It can be experienced in a carefully paced day trip, given two or three days of its own, or used as the opening chapter of a longer journey through Ngorongoro and Serengeti.
With Urithi, Tarangire is never treated as a box to tick. We match travel time, season, vehicle style and accommodation to the traveller—making the first safari feel personal while keeping every wildlife promise honest.
Every package can be adjusted by travel date, group size, accommodation style and onward destination.
