Use Your Skills Where They Can Make a Meaningful Difference

Volunteer your skills. Build meaningful solutions. Grow with Tanzania. Through the Urithi Skills Exchange, professionals, students and emerging talent contribute practical expertise to carefully defined business and community assignments — while gaining experience, cultural understanding and professional connections.

A reciprocal exchange

Knowledge grows when it is shared

Urithi Company Limited believes that knowledge grows when it is shared. Opportunities may be remote or Tanzania-based and can support tourism, food enterprise, consultancy, real estate, sustainability, digital development and community-focused initiatives.

Every placement is designed around a genuine need, clear responsibilities and mutual value. The Skills Exchange is a reciprocal exchange — never simply a source of free labour, and never a replacement for roles that should be paid employment.

Ways to contribute

Four kinds of opportunity

Professional Skills Volunteers

Marketing, sales, tourism products, SEO, photography, data, finance, export readiness, packaging, M&E, business development, environmental sustainability and regulatory research.

Emerging Talent

Structured graduate, student and internship exposure with mentorship, learning objectives and proper institutional or employment compliance.

Remote Contributors

Editing, translation, market research, design, destination research, fundraising research, digital campaigns and systems support.

Travel With Purpose

Future partner-led community or conservation participation designed with consent, safeguarding and no displacement of local paid work.

Value and safeguards

Every placement is designed to be fair

We take the responsibilities of hosting volunteers and interns seriously. A tourist visa does not permit work, so we handle every placement with the appropriate care and legal review.

  • A clear assignment with deliverables, a named supervisor, duration and working hours
  • Orientation, learning objectives and a completion certificate
  • A reference or LinkedIn recommendation where deserved
  • Confidentiality, intellectual-property, data-protection and system-access rules
  • Safeguarding, a code of conduct, and clear expense and insurance terms
  • Photo and publicity consent handled explicitly
  • Legal review for internships and any foreign volunteer activity
