Who we are
Urithi Company Limited is a company registered in Tanzania, operating through business divisions including Urithi Tours and Urithi Foods. We are the data controller for information collected through this website.

What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus limited technical information created automatically when you browse.
- Enquiry details you submit: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country of residence, and any travel dates, destinations, party size, budget range, services of interest or message you choose to add.
- The page you were on when you submitted an enquiry, so we can respond in context.
- Standard technical information such as your approximate location, device type, browser and the pages you visit, collected through analytics if you allow it.
- A one-way scrambled code derived from your network address and browser, used only so the visitor counter shown in the footer counts each person once a day rather than once a page. It cannot be turned back into your address, it is not linked to anything else we hold, and it is deleted after two days.
Why we use it
We use your information for a small number of clearly defined purposes.
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation or proposal.
- To arrange and deliver services you book with us, including passing necessary details to lodges, camps, airlines, guides and other suppliers involved in your journey.
- To keep our own records of enquiries and bookings.
- To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We share only what is necessary with the suppliers delivering your booked services, and with the providers that host this website, deliver our email and provide our analytics. Where the law requires disclosure, we comply.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to respond, to follow up, and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Booking records are kept for the period required by Tanzanian tax and business law.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
You may ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You may also withdraw consent for analytics at any time by clearing cookies or using your browser's privacy controls.

Security
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiry data is stored on the website's own server and access to the administrative dashboard requires a password.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you and the relevant authorities as required.
International travel and your data
If you book a journey, some of your details will necessarily be shared with suppliers in Tanzania and, where your itinerary requires it, elsewhere. We share only what is needed to deliver the service.
