What this journey is
Wildlife country and mountain forest in one journey. Mikumi supplies the open floodplain and its wildlife; Udzungwa supplies endemic species, forest trails and the Sanje Waterfall — a contrast the northern circuit cannot offer.

Day 1 — Arrive in Mikumi
Travel by the confirmed road or air plan, meet the safari team and begin wildlife viewing as timing permits.
Day 2 — Full Mikumi wildlife day
Explore the Mkata Floodplain, water and woodland habitats at an unhurried pace.
Day 3 — Mikumi to Udzungwa
Use the morning for a final drive or relaxed departure, then travel by road to the selected Mang'ula or Udzungwa-area stay.
Day 4 — Sanje Waterfall and forest
Hike with the required guide on the approved trail, adapting distance and pace to weather, fitness and conditions. Swimming is optional only where currently permitted and safe.
Day 5 — Return or continue south
Travel to Dar, the confirmed air connection or the next approved southern destination.
